Taking a break from watching Angel on Netflix I put on Underworld something for the back-ground as I go about doing my daily routine when B & N are out of the house...when you love movies as much as we do, you devise a level of watching...there isn't any mind blowing dialogue and if I happen to leave the room I can more or less pick up what's going on when I return (plus I've seen Kate Beckinsale in pleather plenty of times ) the best part of the movie is any scene with Bill Nighy as vampire elder Viktor...meanwhile I've been thinking about True Blood 4th season - Sookie, Bill & the rest of the gang in Bon Temps & it's own raunchy return.
Anyways do I have some sort of unconscious obsession with vampires?
I am of the generation of Anne Rice and truly was sadden when she left her successful genre for other story lines. I loved the world she created and reread her books for years, "Interview with a Vampire" never stop intriguing me....and please Lesat with his huge ego was so tragically fun....but disappointed in the two movies that came from her work Queen of the Damned great book with layers of history in regards to the chronicles but poor poor executions...is it possible that more could come from her other loved characters Armand, Pandora? .....Don't even get me started on the Witches of Mayfair.
With Twilight and it's sicken devotees (I have seen all movies to date) the books are awful, and I apologies to those who live for them...I am after all Team Anne with a strong connection with Charlaine Harris I am with Team Jacob LOL!! I love the brown!
....I know there are other stories with Vampires, but me not even taking the time to list those other stories ....I am not obsessed, I am just a fan.
